Director’s statement:
“TruthSearch” is a short experimental film that examines and critiques mainstream media coverage of the Iraq War from 2003, as well as the war drumbeat pounded by the U.S. government.
For contrast, the voice of an Iraqi journalist working in Baghdad is provided, with his work and views taking place in 2008, five years after the war began.

Ali Marzook:
“It is time to dismantle the illusion of democracy
the American occupation brought to Iraq, which is now surrounded by death and fear instead.”
This film was made with the intention of raising the questions of why the war began, why the war continues, why the mainstream media lacked analysis and criticism, and how the war has affected Iraqis.
It has been made available online to make it accessible to as many as possible.
I would like to thank Ali Marzook for his invaluable contribution.
And thank you, for watching.
